- 1 cup chickpeas (Garbanzo beans, Kabuli chana), soaked and cooked
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 tbsp finely grated ginger
- 1 seeded minced green chilli (adjust to taste)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp black salt (kala namak)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp mango powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
Serving Suggestions:
- Toasted bread slices or French bread
- Crisp potato wedges
- Ginger relish
- Thinly sliced green chilies
- Sliced tomatoes
- Lemon slices
- Extra tamarind chutney
Instructions
Method:

Wash and soak chickpeas for at least 8 hours. Drain and rinse.
