How To Reduce Splatter When Tempering
You need just 1 simple trick to reduce tempering splatter and that’s adding salt!
Oil splatter is caused by oil acquiring moisture during the tempering process – which will happen no matter how dry your pan is (since all foods contain some amount of moisture). Salt helps by absorbing some of this moisture which drastically reduces the amount of oil splatter.
The key is to add just a pinch though! You don’t want to overpower the flavours of the tadka. So a little goes a long way. This is the ultimate kitchen hack!
Give this hack a go and you’ll never have to deal with an oily mess in your kitchen again. Try it and let me know if it made a difference!
