Apple Juice can be made at home easily with available ingredients in your kitchen. This Recipe is made with fresh apples, very refreshing drink for summer. These days, I love any fruit juices as I find it easier to drink than to eat as a fruit and yes its really the need of the hour as summer has already started.

About Apple Juice

Apple Juice is one of the most healthy and refreshing drinks you can make at home. You can choose apple varieties like Royal gala, Fuji appple or any local variety you find it in your place for making this juice as they taste naturally sweet and would require less sugar when compared to others. But make sure to buy organic apples that are free from pesticides and wax. Do not go by the looks of the shiny apples, be wise to choose your apples while buying.

Apple Juice – 2 ways

1.Raw Apple Juice : This is nothing but peel the skin from the apples, chop into cubes. Puree it along with sugar and little water. Serve fresh. For instant fresh juice you can use this method.

2.Apple Juice from sauce : I have shared this method as its easy to store, also the apple sauce can be used for variety of other recipes too. Also you can use this method if you making in bulk and storing. You can make this sauce and store in bulk, then make the juice instantly whenever required.

Both the methods do not need any special equipment like juicer. I have used our regular mixer to make this juice.

Apple Juice

Apple Juice is a tasty drink made by blending fresh cubed apples or by pureeing cooked apples to apple sauce and mixed with water. Apple Juice is healthy & refreshing and a preferred choice to beat the summer heat.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sized apples
  • 2 tsp sugar optional
  • 2 cups chilled water

Instructions

  • Rinse 4 apples well and peel the skin as shown.
  • Repeat to finish and peel the skin for all the apples.
  • Chop them roughly and discard the center portion which has seeds.
  • Chop them roughly and collect it in a bowl.
  • To a mixer jar add chopped apples. If you do not want discoloration of apples you can add 2 tsp lemon juice.
  • Add 2 cups chilled water.
  • Add 2 tsp sugar. This is purely optional you can skip if if you do not prefer sugar in your juice.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Smooth and blended well.
  • Pour it into a strainer.
  • Press well and extract juice completely. Discard the remains.
  • Fresh homemade apple juice is ready. Serve immediately.
  • Pour into serving glass and Serve! If you like it chilled add some icecubes and serve!
  • Tasty and Refreshing Apple Juice is ready!

  • 2 nos apples ((medium sized))
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • chilled water (as needed)
  • few icecubes

How to make Apple Juice

  1. Wash the apples well.I used my apple cutter to cut into wedges.

  2. Now peel off the skin and chop them into bite sized cubes.Transfer cubed apples to a sauce pan.

  3. Add sugar,mix well keep covered and set aside for 10mins.

  4. Now add water until immersing level.

  5. Boil and cook covered for atleast 10mins or until apples become soft and mushy.Cool down completely.

  6. Transfer to a mixer jar and blend to a smooth paste.Now get ready with your serving glasses.

  7. Get ready with icecubes,apple sauce, and water.Now first add few icecubes,then 2 tbsp apple sauce in each glass.

Serve it chilled or with icecubes. It tastes great without icecubes also. I wouldnt suggest storing apple juice as fresh apples or juice changes color in a while. You can store cooked apple sauce in fridge for about a week.

1.Can I make Apple Juice & store?

Juices are meant to be consumed fresh so I recommend to have Apple Juice fresh and not to store. Also apples start changing color very fast so it is better to consume it once made.

2.Can I add any flavouring to Apple Juice?

I like it plain but if you wish to add any flavouring you can add cinnamon powder or vanilla essence to Apple Juice as both are great a combo for Apple Juice.

3.Should I need to strain the juice?

No not necessary, if you like you can drink the juice as such without straining also. It is your personal preference, if you like pulpy Apple Juice then drink it as such without straining.
